Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University Director of Athletics Dan Schumacher announced on Monday that the Athletics Department, along with Vice President of Student Affairs Joe Falese and the Office of Student Services, has purchased 350 tickets to the Lewis/UIC men's basketball game on December 17th (7 p.m.) at the UIC Pavilion. Those tickets will be given away free to the first 350 people that attend the Lewis/Southern Indiana women's basketball contest at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday December 4th at Neil Carey Arena. The game, which will be seen on Lakeshore Public Television, can be found in over three million households across the Chicagoland Area. Each of the 350 tickets can be found directly behind the Lewis bench. "This basketball game will provide the Chicagoland area the opportunity to see what Lewis and Division II Athletics is all about," Schumacher said. "With the amount of local alumni that Lewis has, along with our student fan base, it's sure to be a wonderful collegiate atmosphere." Lakeshore PTV can be viewed over the air and on satellite through DirecTV and Dish Network on Channel 56, on cable channel 17 in most Northwest Indiana communities, and on 17 and 21 in Chicago and its suburbs. A Catholic University sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, Lewis offers nearly 80 undergraduate majors and programs of study, accelerated degree completion options for working adults, various aviation programs and 22 graduate programs in nine fields. The mid-sized university is being honored for the fifth consecutive year by The Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report. For more information please visit www.lewisu.edu. ##LEWIS## |
